With support from Coke Cola foundation,Plan India will be working to reconstruct
schools to ensure children go back to school in the area affected by Floods.The
project aims to contribute to the education needs of the community and ensure that
children continue to get their education.This intervention is planned in Supaul
and Arraria districts in Bihar.The project seeks to cover approximately 4000 children.
In its endeavor for creating a child friendly society and reaching out to children
in most difficult circumstances, Carlson Hotels Worldwide and Plan are jointly supporting
many projects.
With support from Nokia, Plan India intervened in the Tsunami affected area of Nagapattinam
district along with its implementing partner Treart (Real, Create & Care) to
rehabilitate children of 40 villages affected by the Tsunami.
Plan India with the primary focus being children, with the support of HSBC is intervening
in PR PURAM, Nagapattinam district in Tamilnadu. Program interventions at PR Puram
are aimed at holistic rehabilitation and development of children.
Tata Indicom launched its CSR (corporate social responsibility) initiative on 21st
of February, 2007 wherein they announced their plans for long term association with
Plan India.
